My Laundry

My Laundry

This is my little laundry

It is located at the end of the hallway

I have had to become very organised within this space due to its size, my hubby squashed a flat pack cupboard between the washing machine & the wall that has the light switch on it!
It stores all our soaps, shampoo, conditioner, tooth etc: All the washing liquid, cleaning cloths etc:
Including the vacuum cleaner!
The laundry sink is where the nappy bucket sits, soaking bibs & face washers, away from little hands, as well as the container I soak my dish cloths in.
The water very rarely drains down the sink from the washing machine as we have a grey water pipe attached to the washing machine running through the drain in the floor leading outside onto the lawn.
There is a child safe mirror on the wall that was put there when I ran family day care, alongside hooks that their hand towels used to hang on, Sam loves to use this when using her dress ups.
There was this ugly mini cloths line attached to the wall when we brought this house & at the time I hated it but now we have children I use it most days, it currently dry’s bibs & face washers.
poison cupboard

Above the sink is a poison cupboard that has little stackable storage containers containing batteries in one, odds & ends in another, “everything has a place & everything in its place” makes this laundry work.
The bin sits nicely on the washing machine

I DREAM of the day where I can have a laundry with a door , a bench for folding with cupboards underneath, a store cupboard for loo paper, tissues etc: a stock cupboard for food, deep freezer ooooh & a dirty cloths basket for every member of the family I could keep going but I won’t.
SO....
What’s your laundry like?

  1. Hi Kristi,

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment on my blog :) I have just moved into a bigger more spacious laundry ( well whole house ) we still need to work out exactly how to set out all up in there, a bench and a broom cupboard would be lovely but its working for me now as it is with not so pretty oddly places shelving. So it functions and I'm not complaining but do have aspirations for something more suitably geared to my way of working IYKWIM.

  3. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Gosh, I have to set to work on my laundry. It has only one piece of storage space - a cupboard we put in there. It definitely needs cleaning up!
